Please note that there is a link called "TELL YOUR STORY" where you can tell the current owners how you feel. I wrote them something. They need to know how important Trader Vics is. Also note that in the entire "History of the Bevery Hilton" timeline, there is NO MENTION of Trade...

{si} neutra was the best. I agree. My friend grew up in a Neutra house in Holmby Hills in Los Angeles. The biggest problem with the house: random architecture students knocking on the door. Stephen http://cliffmay.blogspot.com I know Holmby Hills....nice neighborhood. Your friend needs to share som...

Looking at that model...it seems like there would be plenty of room to keep Trader Vics and still have the condos...even if they relocated the restaurant into a new area in a new structure. I'm going there tonite to eat and take it all in. I think this developer is pure evil...a cancer on American p...

so now is the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their ModCom. don't chat online. don't just show up at meetings. Write the letters of support and show up at the hearings and lend whatever talents you have - not only for Vics, but every other building on our endangered list. I su...

Re: sad news

Wow. I saw a photo of Trader Vic's in this morning's paper and I joked to my husband, "What...are they tearin' down Vic's now?" He said "Yes" and I thought it was a joke. I moved to Los Angeles in 1985 and have watched it slowly change for the worse. One by one all the places th...

Sorry LosFeliz and Futura Girl, but there is a culture to protect...yes , our country may only be a little over 200 years old, but we DO have a really great history and culture. Re: And I thought

A 13 story building was bad luck, we'll see. Well, I wish them all the bad luck in the world. What "doesn't work" is tearing down of something historical and cultural significance to make room for more living spaces in a part of town that is already oversaturated with people and traffic. ...

I'm guessing that Tujunga on Foothill is about 100-200 feet higher that Sunland on Foothill. And you live way above foothill, so ...
