Moderns r us, It really is a great house...My wife and I feel very lucky to live in it. Record houses

I have started to collect the record house books/magazines as well Synthetic Space. If you look at the "houses of 1958" you can see our house (wife and I) that is in Kalamazoo, Mich. It was designed by Nelson and Chadwick. There are some pics posted here in the midwest section, I think, of the house...

Thanks all for the input. I agree that nothing should be done that can not be undone if need be. I like the idea of fabricating if I can not find the original siding...do you think that I should not use something "close enough"? I'm leaning towards if it is not an exact match that I will not use it....

what you are seeing is two different materials coming together at the corner capped by redwood.
