Another great home is an area I can't be. :-(

The bones of the home look intact which is great! Paintstripping, wallpaper tearing down, painting, pressure washing...lots of weekend "projects".

This home can be a BEAUTY. Good luck and I hope you get it!

Oh, I'm not in a position to buy. We just keep up with all of the mid century properties in the area. I like to know that people who respect the era are the ones who buy and a lot of the realtors know me. I live in a '70s condo that I am decorating in that era.

Near the other side of Macon - a bit of a drive as a commute.

It's about an hour and a half to downtown Atlanta. I used to commute to ATL daily, but that was before gas was $3 a gal. There are bus commutes and with the price of gas hopefully it will prod the powers that be to get the train running like they have promised for a few years now.

Warner Robins actually has quite a few mid century homes. You can check some of them out here http://westcliffcondos.tripod.com/id18.html

The house with the zig zag roof is the one in this thread. We are going to see it Saturday and hope to take some more photos.

LOTS OF PICTURES

I still have more to add to the site - but I wanted everyone to see this house! It has great potential and if there is anyone around this area who is looking for a unique mid century - this is it!! The guy looking at it wants to gut it and make it more "up to date," which I can only imagine means granite surfaces, french doors, etc... He wasn't too impressed with the tiled tub in the master. The lighting fixtures are so '80s, but easily fixed. The cabinets in the kitchen are custom, but UGLY! (right now those photos aren't on the website, but will be soon). There is a problem with the exterior wall in the living room, but the owner is having that repaired. The roof is poly spray and in good condition. All heating units - 2 - are only 5 years old. If I could buy this house, I would do it today!
