SOLD! - after seeing it on Lotta Living MCM real estate

Postby khummer » Mon May 04, 2009 8:00 pm

Anyone ever sold or bought a house because they saw it here - on Lotta Living MCM real estate? I was curious. I think it is fun to shop on-line, but does anyone buy what they saw or know someone who bought a home after seeing it on-line?

I am sure you would go and visit what you want to buy after seeing all of the pretty photos that people post.

Just curiously living on the edge???

I purchased a house in Palm Springs after seeing it on LL.

You can see the house here--

I saw the pictures of a house that Perks posted on Lotta Living at 4:30 am (the morning after we had put an offer in on another house). I had spent a year looking at neighborhoods and so I knew what neighborhood the house was in (my favorite!) and after looking closely at the photos that Perks had posted, I knew which house it was (my absolute favorite!!!). I called my realtor at 8am and told him that I had to have the house and I would wait there until he could get us in to see it. It turned out that the house was not ready to show and would not be ready for three weeks. My realtor would not let me buy it without seeing it, but was able to get us in in three days. We presented our offer at that time and held our breath as many more offers rolled in after. Anyway, we got it and we love it!!

Thank you, Perks and Lotta Living!!

we bought our 1955 post and beam after seeing it here on LL after looking for almost a year for the right place. as a matter of fact, the house was actually BELOW our price range, and we would have never even looked at this house if it weren't for the posting on this board. i have tried to "pay it forward" by posting other houses for sale in our neighborhood on LL and have had one sell after the buyers saw my post. HIP HIP HOORAY FOR LL!!

I liked the pay it forward idea. I think it is a good one.

We bought our Balboa Highlands Eichler after seeing it here. I suspect that our old place may have sold to a LL reader, but I'm just not sure... I, too, am trying to "pay it forward" by posting stuff I see - like the Eichler that just came on the market down my street today.
