Las Vegas Mid-Mod

Postby stephencarns » Fri Aug 07, 2009 12:40 pm

A great home pool on the Las Vegas National golf course. Built in 1963, refurbished in 1985 with some great tile from the Tropicana Hotel, this is one groovy pad in the heart of fabulous Las Vegas. Check it out online at http://www.2037Ottawa.com.

I love it! The decor is a bit weird, but it looks like quality materials.
That master bedroom is massive.

I definitely have mixed feelings about the decor; it seems almost beyond garish--but, on the other hand, this is Vegas, so it's practically perfect for its setting!

I love the old tile, if only in principle; I'm not sure I could live with those floors day in and day out.

At any rate...considering the size, golf course location, and the big lot, that's not too shabby a deal.

Perfect for your Liberace collection! Too bad about the "french doors" I bet it had sliders. Upgrading those to better, more energy efficient probably did not appeal to the previous owners, based on the choices they made in other areas.

i know this floorplan (but have not seen the inside of this home), and it looks like the basic layout - bones are all there, but the kitchen, baths, doors, etc. have all been replaced and done over. yes there were originally traditional sliders in back. this looks like it could be brought back with some $$$ invested. paradise palms is a pretty great neighborhood to be in - especially on the golf course.

there is talk about the course being redeveloped into housing someday, but we think that some kind of intervention will happen before that occurs.
I'm gonna keep on the run... I'm gonna have me some fun if it costs me my very last dime.
If I wind up broke up, well, I'll always remember that I had a swingin' time
