Wayne IL 1965 Schweikher inspired on acreage

This house was designed by modernist landscape architect Helen Frazel in 1965 as her own home. Its design was inspired by the family's previous 1954 home nearby, by Paul Schweikher. They moved to get a bigger and better yard -- nearly 5 acres with a beautiful stream running through it. Priced at $737,000, and I'd say it's worth it.



The fifth photo in the series shows the entry, where you can see a gravel bed with stepping stones leading toward the bedroom wing. At least one other bed, with plantings, is located in the living room.
