This house is amazing. We live in a Ken Johnson home and are just in love with it. We bought ours from the original owners in 2009 and are totally restoring it back to original condition. In researching Ken Johnson, I have discovered that he is an extremely important architect in Atlanta. We are fortunate to own one of the few homes he designed in town.

Here's a link with some great info and pics of some of his projects:

Thanks for the link Patonite. Here's how the house originally looked. I love the clerestory windows in the living room; very nice details.

Our local chapter of DOCOMOMO has been trying to save the C&S Bank he designed on Moreland Ave:

The home in the ad is beautiful!

Panton-ite: That place is just beautiful. How awesome that it's been well taken care of.

John: I looked at that link and it appears (according to a post from 2/12) the bank is gone. That's too bad. I found a couple of images of it in full swing at the same site the vintage images of 3052 W Pine Valley Road are...

So glad I've discovered Ken Johnson. Love his work!

I hadn't been by there in a while, so I had no idea. We spend so much time tearing down everything in Atlanta and replacing with ugliness.
