I saw a post on another group with an interesting observation; in the 50s and 60s we had two father-figure types on tv named Walt, with moustaches...one dealt in fantasy, the other in facts. Even though they were crazy times, there was a certain cosmic balance there.
That's either deep or gibberish, but I like how it sounds.

Walt
My godfather was Walt. A nice guy; a rather dashing fellow, actually, looking like a million in polyester and turtlenecks. He sold shoes for a living. No mustache, but he had killer '70's sideburns and a slick comb-over. He looked like he could be a model in one of those old 1975 Ford LTD ads of the era.
