MCM Calendars (?)

Postby Mod' i-fy » Thu Dec 02, 2010 11:12 am

I wish I was here posting a thread to tell you all that I found some really wonderful
quality photo filled calendars, but unfortunately not, sorry.
I'm here instead to ask if anyone know of a source where I can find some nice MCM calendars. Thus far I've only been able to find Frank Lloyd Wright. Do they not make any, have anyone found one?

Well, there is an Atomic Ranch one:

http://www.cafepress.com/atomic_ranch.486076039

Josh Agle has done calendars:

http://www.shagmart.com/pages/calarou.html

but there does not seem to be anything current.

A googles search using "mid century modern calendar"

shows some.

The Stendig Calendar was designed by Massimo Vignelli in 1966...

My wife bought me this vintage perpetual calendar for my office. The round circles have magnets and the dates are printed on metal.

Plus it's a modernist's favorite color -- orange!!!

Wow! That is gorgeous. I've actually never had the Stendig i posted.
Not true, i had one at work and so huge that you can write notes in the
type.
I have desktop perpetuals, three of them...in orange. Lucite from Moma
i purchased a few years ago.

Considering the Stendig for the home this year...

I do like a bold graphic that allows a bit of note-taking.

I love Atomic Ranch, and subbed for a couple of years (saved every issue) and also have their coffee table book.

I ordered a calendar from them about 2 years ago, and what I found disappointing was that they didn't give a 'blurb' on the house/setting. Where the photo was taken, etc. The pictures were high quality though, so I give them that. I've just not been drawn to order another one due to the lack of history connected with the pictures. I ended up saving my favorite pictures from the calendar and tack it over the crappy pictures I have on any given calendar since. :)
It may not look like it, but at the molecular level I'm actually quite busy.

Yeah I've ordered a few promo items from them, and I've been left disappointed as well. I believe they use Cafe Express to do their stuff, I think they need to change vendors. I ordered their Atomic Ranch T-shirt from them the print was blurry just horrible, but I kept it anyway since I waited so long for it so I'm done, I'll just stick with their reading material.

Surfing eBay - $35 - buy it now. Not sure if you're interested, but thought I'd post the link anyway:
