not at present that i know of - if there were enough traffic to support it, i would absolutely make a forum here for las vegas -

and that goes for any and every other regional group that requires a space of their own. this forum is totally flexible to grow to fit our community as it expands.

for now we just lump vegas in with everything else - because most modcommers care about vegas, too.

if you do find something - please report back here, though.

thanks for asking.

Las Vegas History

Postby lasvegaslynn » Thu Sep 23, 2004 2:20 pm

Don,
I am in the midst of a large historical preservation project about Las Vegas. Having grown up there in the 1960s and 1970s I am very familiar with the town. Doing this documentary, I now have a very good understanding of the history of the town (I thought I knew LV History before I started this project but I didn't know squat. I have learned soooo much.).

I would be happy to discuss Las Vegas history with you anytime.

Completely different subject,
The Modcom Tour last weekend was great. I had a great time with Connie and Jeff at Casa de Cadillac. Left for Vegas the next morning so I missed the Modcom meeting but will be at the meeting in Oct.

Las Vegas History...

Postby roadsidepictures » Sun Sep 26, 2004 11:45 pm

Hello Don-O,

I too have an almost bottomless pit of information about the history of the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding area. I've lived in Henderson since I was nine and have collected postcards and other pieces of history from the motels and casinos since then.
