Who Sells Vintage Looking Jeans?

Postby roadsidepictures » Sun Apr 24, 2005 10:36 pm

I'm looking for a few pairs of jeans that look like those made in the 1950s. Do any department stores carry them? I heard that a few years back Dillards had come out with some but they sold out fast and ceased production. Any suggestions would be appreciated! ***

Heh.. yeah, a lot of my stuff at home is not 'modern' but more 'primitive'

I try to hide out in the 1950's and live life like my grandparents do on the farm!

When I was in college, I wore pants baggy enough to accommodate someone with elephantitis of the legs. That look is no longer popular (was it ever though?) and the general style anymore is somewhere at a happy medium from the days of Levi 501 and JNCO 40" leg opening pants.

well maybe more towards the Levi side of things ;)

For a while I saw all the 'in' crowd wearing jeans that came from the store pre-faded and dirty looking, so it looked like the fratboys spent their days welding in a shop instead of macking on sorority girls here....

Again, that look is waning though. My fashion sense is pretty questionable though, as I think the Amish are some of the best dressed people around.

Take a look at Carhart jeans too - low cut, thin legs just like the classic style.

Me? The only pants I wear are Sears "Dad'n'lad" Stretch jeans, 40% polyester, never iron! (lately I taken to ordering the "Full fit" size, gives me a little extra room in the aft, if you know what I mean) The "denim look" color never fades and the snaps never rust.
