Sid: Why is it that you're always lounging around like that in your chair, staring at your long straight beams? We've got teams out there busting their butts to complete this task, and you're sitting chillin' in Newhall and drinking a - I don't know what is that - is that even a Trump Ice?

Sid: You're fired.

He just wasn't getting the job done. Am I right?

It was an interesting competition with mixed results, as follows:

Futura Earnings didn't build a "Trump House of Cards"￾ but did manage a hostile takeover of Oregon House, sold their house on e-bay, and made a profit of $1.32.

Bender Inc built a beautiful cantilevered "Trump House of Cards" but in an industrial accident, sneezed and knocked it down before it could be moved to a Manhattan location.

Moderns-r-me built a minimalist structure with a single playing card and sold it to the Guggenheim for fifty million dollars.

Matt Deckard dropped out of the competition, but is suing you personally for one hundred million dollars, although he will settle for fifty thousand.

Chimay Worth designed a mid-century post and beam "Trump House of Cards" but decided to put the building out for bid. They're still on the drawing board.

Mod Profit quit to play "100 Ways to Screw Up Your Mid-Century Modern Home" in the residential Forum instead.

Omni-chols didn't build a "Trump House of Cards" but says that he has photos of the Donald in a compromising position and will post them on the message board if he's fired.

Enron 2 was indicted, and probably won't be able to continue in the game for another 15 to 20 years.

CNA is still mad about not being allowed to buy a vowel on his first move in MCM Price is Right and decided not to compete.

Darth Modern built a "Trump Car of Cards" - it looks like an old Volvo - he liked it so much, he decided to keep it for himself.

I think clearly the winner here is Omni-chols Enterprises. Congratulations, you are exempt in the next round, although you still may compete, and I want all the negatives and prints delivered to me this evening.

Matt Deckard, I'll see you in court, where the Trump Attorneys will chew you up and spit you out like 1000 little hors d'oeuvres.

Darth Modern Unlimited: You're fired. And what is it with your movies? Why do you always drop the light saber - do we have to pin it to your sleeves like mittens on a child? I mean, what's up with that. Am I right?

Day Five.

As you know, a lot of famous architects also design furniture. There's the Eames guys, a dozen guys named Eero - what kind of name is that with the double-e - a guy named Corbusty - I'm saying that right, aren't I?

Anyway, a lot of architects also design furniture. Your next task is to design, market, and sell the "Trump Chair." Now, I'm not looking for any ordinary chair, but for something even I would want to sit on. It's got to have that certain something - you know je ne sais pizzazz, or something like that.

Whoever earns the most money wins and will be exempt from being fired in the next round. The others will come back here to this thread the next day, and somebody will be fired.

Any questions? Good. Now everyone go out there and make a mint. I did it, and you can too. Not a mint - I mean a chair. Did I say a mint? I meant a chair.

Okay, let's see how we did. Carolyn, how did they do? Let's look at the designs first. Can we do that? Let's look at the designs first.

I like that. Can we get twenty-five of those like for around the Board Room table? I like that. Good. What else?

I like that. The letters spell out the name "Trump." Can we get fifty of those and give them out to all my ex-wives? You know, my ex-wives - they still all love me because I'm good to them even though we're divorced - it's like we're still married. Can we get them some of those chairs, please? Fifty of them. I like that. Good. What else?

I get it - it's a rock and no one is going to want to sit on that, so they have to get off their butts and do some work. Buy me one hundred of those and send them to all my middle managers, and send one to Sid too. A rock chair. I get it. I like that. Good. What else?

I like that. It's like royalty and signals to everyone that the person sitting there is someone important. I like it. Buy me two hundred of those, one for every bathroom at Mar-a-Lago. I like it. Good. What else?

The last competitor was Omni-chols Enterprises but there was a merger since we last met, and nichols is now competing as a conglomerate corporation called Exxon-Martha-Omnichols. Their design is called the Trump Household Power-Electric Chair:

The Trump Household Power-Electric chair? How come no one ever thought of this before? I like it. Buy me one thousand of those and send them to all to Texas. I like it.

Thank you, Carolyn. Nice job.

You know, George and Carolyn are my right and left hands. I don't know what I'd do without you guys. It's like having two more of me around but with breasts.

George: You're fired.

Carolyn: Call security and have George removed. Send him one of those Trump Rock Chairs in lieu of his retirement fund.

Now, we've seen all the chairs, but how many did they sell? Carolyn, how many chairs did they sell?

Futura Earnings sold 25 chairs,
Bender Inc sold 50 chairs,
Moderns-r-me sold 101 chairs,
Chimay Worth sold 200 chairs, and
Exxon-Martha-Omnichols sold 1,000 chairs.

Exxon-Martha-Omnichols: You win this round. Congratulations, you are exempt in the next round, although you still may compete.

Futura Earnings: You sold less than half the chairs of the next lowest competitor. I'm afraid that you have no futura as my apprentice. You're fired.
