:d: He gets his kicks in Champaign.
From Illinois, he sends us some sweet noise.
So tell me, why shouldn't it be true,
That Java's Bachelor Pad is right for you?

Some think Java is insane.
But if Torme is not sane, then let's all be that way.
So if you like Mel's singing too.
Then Java's Bachelor Pad is right for you! :d:

:d: For the benefit of Jason Croft
There will be a show tonight on Halloween
The cheesecake queens will all be there
Swinging songs, you love to hear, what a scene!
Lounge, exotica, Bossa Nova beat
Big Bongo heat, and so much more.
In this way Mr. J. will conquer the world!

The celebrated Mr. J.
Chats it up each Friday on Lotta Living
The regulars will chat and schmooze
Roadside pictures drinks some booze, don’t spill a thing!
Webmaster F and G assures the public
This mod production will be second to none
And of course Moderns R Us makes quite a fuss!

The songs begin at eight o'clock
When Mr. J. queues up Mini Skirt in double time
Then Mr. S. will demonstrate
Martinis he will stir and shake with olive brine
With weeks and weeks of preparation
A splendid time is guaranteed for all
And tonight the Bachelor Pad is topping the bill. :d:

:d: Java the DJ,
Was a swinging happy soul,
With a smoking coat, and a bearded face,
And two eyes red from Cuervo Gold.

Java the DJ,
Is from Illinois they say,
Where it often snows, and this story goes,
How it snowed there one cold Friday.

On the way to play some swinging songs,
Did a snowman Java spy.
So he rolled up double D balls of snow,
And made a girl from that snow guy.

There must have been some magic
Under that bustier of snow,
Because when Java clamped the snow boobs on,
That girl put on a burlesque show!

Grind-ity, bump bump,
Grind-ity, bump bump.
Look at that snow girl go!

Grind-ity, bump bump,
Grind-ity, bump bump,
Swinging around a stripper's pole!

Java the DJ,
Became sad on second blush,
For as she started to unwind, to the bump and grind,
The snow girl turned into snow girl slush.

Java the DJ,
Waved goodbye to the pile of graying sheen.
Saying don't you cry, do you wanna know why?
Someday I'll build another frosty cheesecake queen! :d:

Okie, my try at the X-Mas tunes...

This one is directed at you Java...in the tune of The Beatles' "When I'm 64"

The time is December partying with Santa
Up at the ol' North Pole
Burlesque dancers mesmerizing the reindeer
Saying oh s**t Christmas time is almost here

After finishing off my last drink
Trying to find the door
No more time for drinks time for the gifts
Passed out again by the door

This place is a zoo
Please try & find the elves
Then sleigh time with you
Maybe another drink or maybe two

When my glass is done
You can show me how to make toys
As for me well boys will be boys
Doing the podcast doing the magazine
Sorry Santa my plate is full
No more time for drinks time for the gifts
Passed out again by the door

Santa look at the cheesecake dolls
Who would you pick, tell me in my ear
This month is Gigi Valiant
So many kittens to choose from
Sabina, Dayna & Kay

Good gawd look at the time we're so behind
I have to Sober up

Cheesecake cuties breaking some laws
Holy s**t look out it's Mrs. Claus
Doing more with the list & not with the dancers
Are you ready Prancer?
No more time for drinks time for the gifts
Passed out again by the door
-Tiki Mike

Good one, Tiki Mike.

How about a contest? One new song by next Friday based on "Singin' in the Rain," but that starts with "Swingin' in the Pad." And anyone can play!

:d: Doo di doo doo doo
Doo di doo doo doo doo
Doo di doo doo doo doo
Doo di doo doo doo doo

We're swinging in the Pad.
Just swinging in the Pad,
Every Friday in the evenin',
Go stark raving mad!

We'll listen to songs,
Queued up by Java.
The sound fills your heart;
The booze flows like lava.

Let the cheesecake queens race;
Bump and grind all over the place.
So scantily clad,
It puts a smile on your face.
We'll be happy not sad,
All the lasses and lads,
Just singing and swinging in the Pad.

Doo di doo doo doo
Doo di doo doo doo doo
Doo di doo doo doo doo
Doo di doo doo doo doo :d:

How about a "moon" theme show this Friday, Mr. J?

I could probably do a set with that theme, but not a whole show. I can only think of about 5-6 songs that have "moon" in their title. (Or 20 if you include Mel Torme whole album "Swinging On The Moon.")

Let's see...

How High the Moon
Fly Me to the Moon
Old Devil Moon
Blue Moon
No Moon at All

(And this is only the 5-second, off-the-top-of-my-head list)

How can Moon River not be on the top of your head?

Anyway, whomever created this site already did all the work for us:
http://www.moonlightsys.com/themoon/song.html
At the bottom are links by genre. So your songs are probably all under oldie, jazz and contemporary.

And if that's not enough for you, you can also reach for the stars!

Been awhile ...

:d: Oh, how he swings,
On the e-lectric highway. Martini Kings.
Frank Sinatra singing My Way.
Diana Dors. (Diana Dors!)
With a voluptuary derry.
We will all be grinning,
To the discs Java is spinning.
How we gleam,
When we hear Garcia's theme,
Because the swinging folks all know.
He's a high-falutin', (rootin'-tootin')
Emperor from Illinois.
He’s some DJ, wearing smoking PJs,
It’s time for Java’s show. :d:

{gunfire}
Look out Sherriff, they’re getting away.
