Good ol' Marlin Perkins & a young Jim Fowler. These guys were the icons of Saturday night TV back in the day! (Anybody who can find the 'Mutual of Omaha is People' jingle?)

In memory of Steve Irwin

Wasn't this on sunday nights before the Wonderful World of Disney"? I know it was a show my family always watched together (all 3 of us).
Lost as always, but if you find me you'll win a prize!

In Los Angeles, in 1979, it appears to be running opposite Disney... Hmm.

I was thinking of the very early 1970s. It may well have shifted by 1979. I do not recall if they were on the same channel, but I do recall that Wild Kingdom did come on before Disney.

Days of innocence... :|

Wild Kingdom aired on KNBC in Los Angeles until 78 or 79, then moved to KTLA. Going by memory, I thought the showed aired at 6:30 on both Saturday and Sunday, with “Thrill-Seekersâ€￾ at 6:00 in the early 70’s. I want to say “In Search Of…â€￾ replaced “Thrill-Seekersâ€￾ , but I have a feeling that was on KNXT.

Talking about old TV shows, anyone else remember "Don Adams' Screen Testâ€￾? I was all of 8 or 9, but I would love to see an episode again!

I remember it being on Saturday nights, but this is based on 34-year-old memories. Was the show syndicated? If so, the night might have varied from area to area.

I recall Wild Kingdom coming on, followed (or preceded) by Mouse Factory (Disney's Saturday night show).
