I'm not saying we should start a thread about album covers or anything. Or maybe I am. In any event, something deep in my soul is forcing me to share this

Awesome... lemme add one:

That's sweet! I mean, I've read Il Milione
and have tracked Polo's adventures across the silk route and into the empire of the Mongols, but I didn't realize there were such hot chicks.
Lemmee keep to my clown theme for a moment, if I may:
...because I'm still reeling from the Black Dahlia
's "clowns make us torture-killers" theme.
Now then, is your party winding down? Shoot this disc on the ol' Bell & Howell BSR 3800 and watch as everyone perks up!
Then there's this:
The headmaster at my school inferred as much, and he was summarily dismissed.

Not only is Satan real, but these guys are really, really happy about it.

In a perfect world, my life will be exactly like this. I'd like to be the moustachioed gent in the chair, but if I end up as ukulele-boy, that's cool too.

LOL!!! These are great!

LOL.... love the "let me touch him" crowd....
but....if we're getting religious... here're some more:

Here's a site that just about sez it all... http://porktornado.diaryland.com/albumcover.html
... it even has "Let Me Touch Him" involved...
...what is up with that woman? Is her hair aflame? Or is she just standing in hell?
Posted: Tue Sep 19, 2006 11:33 pm
There's a lot of touching going on.
Just don't be touched by this guy.
I have a request, Ken. Please don't enslave me with your zombie eyes, or make me sit next to that glory-hole.

Man... I'm about to wet my pants...
one more for the list:

Though Elvis stole black music, no giant white Jesus ever appeared to box his ears!
Guess a lot of people were into the touching mania of the 60s-early 70s.

Dang Miguel! That drumgirl is wigging me out! Is she supposed to be some sort of Hindu god? Any chance she's related to this gal?
Posted: Wed Sep 20, 2006 12:09 am
... na... she's just really fast...
well...back to wholesome thoughts....

I won't give up!
...I'll fight this feeling...
...but will eventually find peace

LOLOLOL hubby and I are having a right laff at this thread! It started very ominously with the world's creepiest clown but the religious touchy-feely folk have certainly lightened the atmos! Hubby's now crawled off into the attic to have a root through his vinyl
brb for the English contingent.

Isn't that Dustin Hoffman as Tootsie in the middle?
I'll have to
Posted: Wed Sep 20, 2006 7:56 am
take a look at my folks old records.
I guess we'll have to do this since eventually we'll get music downloaded off the internet-no album covers involved.
It'll be a lost 'art'.

A great Jerry Falwell album. As if there was another kind.
I imagine the interchange something like this:
Jerry: Where are the dead?
Bob: I dunno, they were here a minute ago.
Jerry: You don't think that--that they--
The Dead: BRRRRAAAAAIIIINNNNSSSS!!!!!
Jerry and Bob: AUUUUUGGGGGHHHH!!!

After a good night of sleep... I feel renewed to give myself:
This is the day I turn a leaf...
...and start a new life...
Posted: Wed Sep 20, 2006 8:59 am
Oh, THIS is the day. I thought it was next Tuesday. Did he make those waters erupt from the earth?
The Jesus Use Me has everything.
This isn't as good as Gertrude's "God Isn't Dead" -- no midcentury bottles and needles -- but at least these folk are apparently framed with dripping blood.
And wasn't Leadbelly's name really Ledbetter? Is Leadbelly one of these folk?

I'm ready... take me!
...and I'll spread the word

Addicted to God, huh? I hear there's a 12-step program for that.
Now, there are some people who should do limbo.
And there are some people who should not.
Though in fairness, this lady has 'em all beat.
I think I'm in love.

After a fierce battle with police, God was apprehended at 10:20am.
