Cool mid century modern color wheel for christmas tree?

Postby moderngalaxy » Mon Nov 02, 2009 9:57 pm

Thinking about getting an aluminum christmas tree color wheel this year? What do you think? Go with a reproduction with new wiring? Or chance it with an original one from eBay?

This ones only $50

I have read, perhaps here on Lotta Living, that the original ones can be fire hazards due to their age. I went with a reproduction from the Vermont Country Store. Quite cheap and once I found the right bulb (small floodlight bulb) it worked well.

The one you have linked to looks pretty cool.
