Cool. This wasn't originally a Denny's, but some of their 50s-70s buildings deserve protection (and restoration/de-"updating") as well. You've gotta love the term "Scandigooginesian." As for the guy who said "the building is in such bad shape, it has no use," I get so tired of hearing that one.

I get the feeling that if this had been some other chain restaurant (like maybe a Ruth's Chris Steak House) than a Dennys when it closed, people wouldn't be having such a hard time accepting the landmark status.

looks like it would make a great tiki bar! it's about time for a full-scale tiki revival. it's sad seeing old ads and menus for all the extinct tiki bars.

Looks like all may not be well for the Ballard Denny's. Was recently granted landmark status, but it's fate is still in question. (??)
