The wind has been so intense. Check out this toppled sign in Mar Vista. Were any historic signs or buildings damaged?

Hutch's was toppled. This is a tragedy of unimaginable proportions not only because the sign is awesome, but, as a bbq snob, I say the food is first-rate, and deserves your patronage.

Spoke to the owner who says they are on their way to resurrecting the sign but they expect the City of Pasadena to give them all sorts of hassles, as is their way. I told him to put the sign back up and ignore each and every letter, phone call, etc. from the COP.

There were a large number of backlit plastic signs along Arroyo Parkway, down California, etc that suffered quite a bit. Large shards of plastic still litter the roads. I never thought I'd shed a tear for a "vintage" U-HAUL sign but, you know, when they start to go...

Wow, look! Gerlach's removed their sign entirely and found this underneath. Thanks, wind!
