A great article over on the Mosaic Art NOW site -- which is a new one for me.
A 15-foot wide mosaic of oil refineries, the Port of Los Angeles, and tall buildings, was found at the Wilshire Grand Hotel at Wilshire and Figueroa, which is currently undergoing demolition.

What a wonderful story of preservation!!! And intriguing sleuthing to find mosaic maker John Smith!
