New web series explores lots of Mid-Century stuff!

Postby scribble » Wed Feb 26, 2014 11:28 pm

Hello! Some of you may recall a project I was working on many years ago called "Atomic Lounge", it has finally morphed into a web-based (for now) series called "Where Cool Came From", hosted by Dave LeBlanc, architecture columnist for the Globe and Mail. Though we cover lots of different pop culture stuff, we almost always end up exploring it from a Mid-Century, Magic Decade perspective 'cause after all, that's where all the cool stuff came from!

The first few episodes are online now, with lots more to come, including a visit to Phillip Johnson's Glass House, Frey II in Palm Springs and an amazing trip to the GM Heritage Centre to see the turbine powered Firebird concept cars!

Check it out:

Thanks!
