If you happen to be near Racine, I just read that the Johnson Wax building will be open to the public for the first time on May 1:

Well, specifically the Research Tower. The main buildings have been open for tours all along.

I guess that means we Angelenos are all descendants of the loose.

Here is what my American studies prof said: Once everyone got west there wasn't anywhere else to go, so we all started going in circles. Such is freeway life. Reminds me of "Play it as it Lays" by Joan Didion.
