Good one -- whatever brings B-Bob back !

(And, for goodness sake, it's Eeemes, and not Ames, while we're at it.)

(I'm just sayin'. . .)

I have been pronouncing it Meeze...not sure where I got that from. I had also been pronouncing Neutra incorrectly all these years so it seems.

Breuer?... Breuer?... Anyone?

Breuer:
American Heritage Dictionaries has the pronunciation as:
Broi' er as in Broiler without the L. Same as moderns-r-us.

Mies Van Der Rohe:
American Heritage has the pronunciation as:
meez' van der row' a

But, how do you pronounce SDR?
Is it suitor or sudder?

OOh! I have one. People often mispronounce the name of my faves, Armet & Davis. It's lou-ee ar-may not ar-met. There you go.

Yow ! I love you guys. Now we're all smarter (well, if not that, then better-informed. . .?).

Well, if it's Arm-ay (and I'm glad it is) then I must be Ess Day Air. . .!

Yes, I've said Meeze, but I guess we're at the mercy of who we hear and how well-informed THEY are. It seems that most (but not all) of what makes it to radio and television has been checked, which has no doubt been helpful.

I fear that this is one of many standards that is being eroded as we speak.
