The Nugget became Trader Dick's when owner Dick Graves built a new larger casino across the street from the original location in 1958.

John Ascuaga bought the Nugget in 1968. At some point, Trader Dick's was moved into the Nugget Casino and the old structure was demolished.

Here are a few pictures I took of Trader Dick's.
(Note: the coral pillars inside the fish tank are supports for the freeway which goes right over the casino)

You can still order all the cool drinks and keep the cups.

Look how the slight difference in angle between the similar photos (fourth and fifth down) make it look look like there are entirely different mountains back there (without regard to the change in season).

Love the neon green thatching at the bar.
