A Child's Friend-: A Look at Vintage Dolls (1840-1940)

Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, April 23 to May 23, 12—4 p.m.
A special exhibit examining the history of doll making during the Victorian era. If you think you know Dolls, think again! Models came in all different shapes, sizes, compositions and configurations. Metal heads, fur eyebrows, glass eyes, wood, cloth, and even celluloid bodies were all regularly seen among these toys. Over 40 dolls will take visitors on a trip around the world to see just how diverse, interesting and sometimes exceptionally odd dolls could be during the Victorian period.
