EAGLE RK - Lecture: Taliesin East and West Feb. 24, 2015

Postby BLRees » Fri Jan 30, 2015 4:53 pm

Take an in-depth look at two of Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpieces, Taliesin East and West, and learn their relationships to their unique natural environments as well as each building’s distinct design elements that are Wright’s hallmarks. In addition, hear details on restoring these two architectural gems that served as Wright’s main residences.

Lecture takes place at the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts which was originally one of 142 Carnegie public libraries and features a Mission/Spanish Colonial Revival structure designed by W. E. Kleipell.

Sean Malone is president and CEO of the Frankly Lloyd Wright Foundation and has worked extensively on stewardship of Wright’s work including an in-depth Preservation Master Plan program to define how Taliesin West will be preserved for generations to come.

Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Lecture at 7 p.m. $25-$30
