Pryne * Co. Inc Blo Fan

Postby BAZ_MCM » Mon Dec 15, 2008 6:26 pm

I have two original Pryne & Co. Inc. Blo fans. One in the kitchen and one in a bathroom. I'm looking for one more as well as some of the control hardware, parts, etc.

Can anyone help point me in a direction? These are really cool - even though mine have been painted over. Once I get the paint off I'll want to show them off.

Thanks,

-B

My plan was to suggest the fan we have in our bathroom. Our house is very remuddled and mostly home depot by the previous owners so I thought it would be readily available. I screwed the front off to get a brand for you and - shockingly - it is a blo-fan. Guess I won't be sourcing another for the other bathroom.

It works so well we run it in the winter to pull heat from the living room gas insert to the other end of the house.

And there you go - a completely unhelpful post to simply commiserate with you.

Our house has four original fans that I was able to find online in order to add one to the master bath. It is a "trade-wind" brand, here's a link.

Same as the originals but the cover/grill is only available in white (as opposed to the bare metal).

I found a new-in-box Nutone in stainless that looks nearly identical to the Blo-Fan that's in there now.

You can see here" http://nutone.com/product-detail.asp?ProductID=10177

Only paid $18 w/ shipping. Gotta love Ebay as long as what you're looking for isn't labeled "Eames Era".

Cheers,

I purchased motors for 2 different mid-60s NuTone fans from Grainger.
I've always had great success with finding motors there.
