96 inch mistlite glass–need help finding some!

Postby Joe » Tue May 19, 2009 3:05 pm

I am looking for some Mistlite tempered pattern glass, 27-3/16 x 96 inches.

My glass guy can't find it that big.

Paul's Glass in Long Beach can no longer get it that big.

if you have a source, let me know.

We got some in January of this year from
Diamond Glass
Eldon and Dell Primrose
3037 Edinger
Tustin 92780
(949) 559-1700

The owners are former Eichler owners.

Anyone have a similar source in the San Francisco Bay Area? We're having the same problem up here.

scratch the mistlite.

Actually, according to architectural specifications, Cliff May used Factrolite, which is like Mistlite. I found a source in BC that can supply 96 inch Factrolite. Now I just need to find a retailer to order it for me.

If anyone knows of a source stateside, let me know.

Will you share the project that you need it for eventually?
I'm curious.

A neighbor down here in Long Beach told me that they got theirs at Hal's Glass. http://www.halsglass.com/ The mistlite I got from Paul's glass is an exact match for what we have in our house. So, mistlite or factrolite should work for you, whatever you can find first. Sorry to hear Paul's can't get it anymore. Good luck!

My Jack & Jill bedrooms also have a 96" piece horizontally above the closets.

Ah, now i see. I only had my i-phone at work this past week, though
handy, it was difficult searching :?
A New Orleans style transom would work for air circulation but out of the
question for me if in similar situation. Unacceptable compromise.
What a beautiful design element.

Wow--that looks great!

I just realized that the beam in mine is not visible in those rooms.
