Willie Mays' (unbuilt) 1959 Jones & Emmons...

Postby robbhouston » Wed Mar 27, 2013 5:58 am

Hey all,

There's an interesting piece over at the Eichler Network on Willie Mays' interest in modern architecture, and his (unbuilt) 1959 Jones & Emmons home...

Too bad they never built it.

Joe,

I didn't know about that. Thats awesome, thanks! Looks like the exhibition runs May 25 to Sep 08. I'm gonna be working in CA in late Aug., with a day or 2 off around Tracy and later Santa Rosa. I just Google mapped it. Not too far. Looks like I can actually make it. Jones is one of my all time favorite architects!

Do you have a link for the exhibition?
I'm gonna keep on the run... I'm gonna have me some fun if it costs me my very last dime.
If I wind up broke up, well, I'll always remember that I had a swingin' time

Ooh, I knew this was coming. I didn't realise they had set the dates.

I'm excited for it :)
