Are mid-century modern homes still great for raising kids?

Postby EichlerNetwork » Sun May 26, 2013 1:33 pm

Eichlers, Strengs, and other mid-century modern homes were originally designed with children in mind. The open planning, enclosed backyards, atriums, and the homes' easy-to-clean materials promoted family togetherness—or so the story goes.

But are modern homes still ideal for raising children today? And do children and teenagers those days enjoy this modern life? Or have habits and attitudes changed in the 21st century?

For an upcoming article, The Eichler Network's CA-Modern magazine is looking for parents and kids (who live in modern homes) who’d enjoy musing on these matters. Please contact features editor Dave Weinstein at Deadline: June 20, 2013.
