Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is an MCM fan

Postby scowsa » Fri May 31, 2013 6:37 am

Was recently watching watching an interview with the now retired Sandra Day O'Connor which was taking place in a home setting. My eye was naturally drawn to the furniture choices so I did a bit of research.

Turns out that she and her husband had commissioned an MCM designed house back in 1958.

Modern Phoenix has the whole story, including the steps taken to preserve the home, given its famous owner.

That's wonderful...I think Barry Goldwater had one of these Usonian-esque houses out in Phoenix too. I recall reading a vintage shelter magazine about being "At home with Senator Goldwater" or something like that.
How about a career in Architecture? www.scottkirkcueto.blogspot.com
