Thanks JB!!!

I am totally inspired to go and visit the garden and see this dream house.
Maybe a modcom field trip is there in our future?

We went to see this open house last Sat, as it conveniently coincided with a planned trip to the OC Museum of Art.

The event was very busy, with a lot of interest in the gardens, so it was impossible to take external photos, given the house is set on a multi-level lot with mature trees. The house needs some TLC, a view shared by one of the host committee, as while they can maintain the gardens with volunteers, house maintenance is a different challenge.

Hortense's requirements for the house were displayed.

and the house certainly lives up to them.

Note the lighting on the beams, which I am assuming was built on site.

Lastly, while it's not MCM and more appropriately belongs in Roadside Rambling -- Giant Objects, I cannot resist sharing one of the pieces from the Richard Jackson exhibit at the art museum
