Rivercide county has no record?

Does anyone know if USC has an P&K archive?

Seems to me, you should be able to locate documents on a custom house. But since Alexander built it, that may be tough as it might get lumped in with the thousands of tract homes P&K and Alexander built. I would think the architect would be receptive to an inquiry regarding a custom home. Just a hunch.

How do you know Alexander and P&K built/designed your home?

Riverside has no records of the Palm Desert area prior to 1963.

Don't know who the architect was, let me clarify the custom home thing. It is one of 2 homes in Silver Spur Ranch that are MCM with the butterfly type of roof line, I am only guessing on Alexander or PK, as this is of their style. check out these pictures.

Your link is an error.

determining who designed/built your home looks next to impossible, especially since it is a custom home. is there a tract of Alexanders near by which was built at the same time?

if it's a butterfly roof, it could be similar to other plans.

originally i do not think i found our exact eichler plan, but i found one that was so close, it may as well have been and it helped alot.

hmmm. hard to tell since the home have been recently renovated. Doesn't look like any custom work I have seen for Alexander/PK, rather closer to their tract work. Could be a customized tract home, which PK may not have been involved. Builders often take tract plans and customize them a bit.

maybe you can sketch and post your floor plan, or explain it in greater detail?

blueprints

when i went to palm springs city hall to try and find plans for my 1959 alexander, i was told that many tract maps & blueprints of that period were lost in a fire and weren't available. i was able to get copies of tract maps of my neighborhood (i'm in racquet club rd estates phase 2) but no plans.

If that was once a P&K designed place, (and I'm not saying that I think it was). it doesn't bear much resemblance to any I have seen before. I'm sure it's a nice place though.

Regards,
Marty

Perhaps I wasn't clear, and didn't make my point.
