What you'll find there:
The project of first time homeowners attempting to transform a pretty much normal/bland Mid-Century Ranch (which also happened to be in the worst condition of all houses on the street) into something with some MCM Flair.

What you'll find there: BLOG - This is my second condo purchase and I hope it'll be a more positive experience than the first. The building was completed as apartments in 1965 and converted to condos in 1980. My particular unit has been defiled by remodels in the 1980's, but the original details from the mid-1960's aren't much more attractive. I'm looking to remodel the unit in a more classic mid-century style and hope viewers will weigh in with their opinions about flooring, cabinetry choices, etc.

What you will find there: Blog about my adventures hunting for mid century modern designs at yard sales, thrift stores, etc. Its bound to be an eclectic mix of high and low design. I will also try to impart a modicum of knowledge about the topic of each post.

Eventually I will also post pictures of interesting MCM architecture, fixtures and ephemera.

We'll see what comes out in the wash.

Site Name: Cliff May Re-Modern

URL: http://cliffmayre-modern.blogspot.com/

Site Authors: Gary C. & Liz E.

What you will find there: Our Cliff May Re-Modernization. This is our first MCM home and our plan is to bring this place up to date, but without distracting from Cliff May's original idea for what these house we to be. The original purpose of creating this blog was to be able to share images and status reports with friends and family that are out of state but seeing that I have gained so much inspiration and ideas from reading other blogs of people gong through similar renovations I decided that we would make it public and welcome outside thoughts and opinions. Feel free to leave comments, regarding what you have seen and what you would like to see.

Thanks,

redoing these MCMs-

Postby JGropp » Fri Aug 21, 2009 10:09 am

Cliff May would never have gone
for black trim. Getting rid of that
was a good move as was all of the
fine work shown. It's really fun to
redo these MCMs. isn't it? Jerry

I'm definitely enjoying myself.

The new mantel, plus trim work for the "stealthy" electrical and surround sound, is my first attempt at any kind of wood work. Pretty much everything I have done so far is a first with exception to the painting.

Thanks for checking out the blog, and for the reply !

Hi All
This site is a wonderful resource. I just found it and I am spending a lot of time reading the posts.
We bought our Eichler last summer and we are thrilled to be part of the MCM community. I have posted some pictures in my blog.
