This thread is for members to announce their websites or blogs, etc. Please post links to blogs, photo galleries or web pages that feature your home, neighborhood or project.

Please DO NOT crosstalk about the posts or websites in this thread. Use this thread ONLY for the listing of websites.
The whole point of this thread is to make it easy to quickly locate everyone's webby's AND if you start crosstalking - it defeats the whole purpose.

So please LINK to your existing thread(s) so people can talk about your website and home there.
If you do not already have a thread or discussion about your house - please start a new one and then link to it.

Please post your listings in some kind of format that looks like this:

Site Name: Cliff May Restovation

URL: http://cliffmay.blogspot.com/

What you'll find there: BLOG - I'm a first-time homeowner. Rather than buy a late-model stucco box complete with granite countertops and maple cabinetry, the masochist and individualist inside me colluded on the purchase of vintage Cliff May ranch about twice as old as I am. These are my stories.

I'll get the ball rolling:

Site Name: El Ranchito Vegas

URL: http://www.lottaliving.com/elranchito/

Site Author: Futura Girl

What you'll find there: This is my "El Ranchito Vegas" website. It chronicles the before and after pictures of my 1957 house in Las Vegas. El Ranchito was named after the FIRST Strip Casino, the El Rancho Vegas Hotel, which was designed by Wayne McAllister in 1941. (It was about a mile away from where this house stands.) We worked so darn hard on this house - i just had to chronicle its development online.

What You'll Find There: Somewhat frequent updates of remodeling my 2nd MCM, soon starting some major projects. Lots of photos of two crazy dogs that live with us. And a very fat cat. There's one more cat, too, but she seems to be afraid of the camera. Plus a bunch of rants and what not. Oh, and now I've taken up woodworking, so probably will have more on that.

Could change a lot, I'm a software developer, and the site is a bit of a playground for me.

What you'll find there: Phase 1 of a 3 phase project of creating an MCM paradise from scratch, no holds barred. Phase 1 is a livable garage, or lodge, free of inspections and red tape. Tucked away in a corn field and built 99% with the help of friends and family when I'm not putting in my 40 hours in the office.

What you'll find there: The site is basically a blog of different Modernist subjects, including my travels and the interesting Modern buildings and structures I've encountered. It's basically a repository of all the info and images I've created over time that wasn't quite appropriate for my NorthcrestModern website (which is neighborhood centric).

What you'll find there: well, we picked up an eichler-built home in concord which necessitated the purchase of a work-truck (thus the name). the site features the trials and tribulations of the restoration/renovation of this modernist home.

URL: http://www.eugenemodern.org/ellendale

What you'll find there: Ellendale is a ten-phase, mid century housing development in the Friendly Neighborhood of Eugene, Oregon. The original Ellendale development was followed by 9 Ellendale "additions". A majority of the homes built in the original Ellendale development were of a modern, ranch style. The website includes a history of the development, examples of the various house configurations built and photos of a house currently in a state of remodel/restoration.

What you'll find there: BLOG - I'm a first-time homeowner and my husband and I are both in the architecture field (I'll get to actually use the a-word someday) and fell in love with a poor old Cliff May that had stood vacant for two years after abandonment and a forclosure. We're going to make it beautiful again.

Levittown tracts

Postby modfan » Mon Feb 11, 2008 9:50 pm

Site Name:
Beyond Levittown

URL: http://www.levittownbeyond.com/

Site Author: It says Kevin Sylvester (found surfing via Google)

What you'll find there:

Lists of the Levitt towns built by Levitt and Sons (and subsequent companies with the brand) both the well known ones and subsequent developments across the US some even have links to brochures with renderings and floorplans.
My take on this one-The California listing one has links to just one tract called 'Bellwood' in Modesto
I emailed em about 1 more called Alton Street in Santa Ana but no response. I used to have a brochure on one of their tracts in France but can't locate it right now.
