Original Midcentury Modern towel rack. What is it?

Postby Gary_&_Anne » Tue Mar 27, 2007 9:20 am

This is a picture of a built in bathroom towel rack that came in our new Midcentury Modern home. It appears to be original.

We've never seen anything like it before.

Does anyone know anything about it?

Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Co. (A company that produces specialty hardware) makes something similiar to that.

My guess is a ladies' hosery rack for when the ladies handwashed their nylons and undergarments back in the day.....
Lost as always, but if you find me you'll win a prize!
