ID Request - 1950's green lounge chair

Postby AJ Fisher » Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:04 pm

hi everyone. my neighbor knows of my interest in mid century furniture. he brought over this chair this evening and asked if i wanted it since he was taking it to goodwill. i love the lines. i am looking for info on a possible designer. the covering is green fabric. no marks or labels that i can see however the bottom is also covered with fabric. the unit is equipped with springs and moves a bit like a rocker. there is a chromed, metal handle on the right side that needs some work. i believe it is meant to lock the unit between a rigid and "rocking" mode. the feet are reminiscent of heywood wakefield to me. i am thinking this is from the 1950's. any info is helpful. thank you.
