Cleaning acrylic spaghetti lamp

Postby Sienna » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:30 pm

We have an old clear spaghetti lamp that has collected dust and dirt over the years. It is kind of sticky too. Nasty! Anyway I am trying to figure out how to clean this thing. I read that you should not use abrasives, anything with ammonia, window and kitchen cleaners, etc. Plus, it is difficult to get into the crevices. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of taking the hardware off and soaking the thing but in what I dont' know. Oxyclean? Just plan water? Any hepl is appreciated. Pic below:
