LL DIY Forum?

Postby Stephen » Fri Sep 14, 2007 7:20 am

Has anyone else thought that it might be nice to create a separate forum just for DIY LottaLivin' projects? That would provide a centralized place for Bean-E-Doo tips, cabinet installation, etc. I know a lot of us are on tight budgets and many of us partake in learning new skills.

sometimes i don't really know where to post, so i just don't. i put stuff on
my tumblr blog. and i don't really need a Stendig calendar, but they sell out
pretty fast. (i like the MOMA perpetual) small and works year after year.
is it news that the 2008 is out?
but DIY could be separate. i don't really mind the eclectic mix or where to
post. and no one seems to mind, except for the occasional slap on the wrist.
so i understand stephens request for a separate DIY specific to mcm.
most diy sites i've seen do not understand the needs of mcm.
you have to shuffle through alot of crap to get good info. so, i'm not asking
for it, i just understand the need.

modern homes is for all home DIY discussion....

Mid Century Modern Homes
Home improvement Q&A, pictures and news (NOT for Real Estate)

Collectibles is for discussing anything esle that is not technically a 'home improvement' - i.e. craft projects or other such stuff - so the categories are already there - we just don't get alot of discussion in collectibles yet...

"Modern Collectibles
Show your stuff or ask questions about housewares, ephemera, books, artwork, furniture"

I could see separate DIY, decorating, materials, and architecture forums.

That said, LL isn't so busy IMO to warrant such a split.
