I wonder how stable it is

They aren't fastened in any way-but it seems to have survived 2 SFV earthquakes. And if it's infested (termites?) seems like it would eventually fall down on it's own.

Man, you have got a great photo archive! I think pink goats on a nice dark green bronze patina would be perfect. . .

Why not design an apartment complex around a tower rebuilt with pallets made out of glass fiber reinforced concete (corian would be to toxic when someone decided to burn it down). It could be a focal point to the otherwise "drab apartments for the storing of surplus people."

---For those who do not know me, I am being sarcastic.---

I think the stuctures precariousness and its temporary nature is much of its appeal.

As soon as it was incorporated into some sort of design, building officails would make you put up handrails and make it ADA accessible!

But -- but -- pink goats don't NEED handrails!

Do they?

The Watts towers of Simon Rodia are truly awesome. Thank heaven they were strong enough to defeat the misbegotten attempt to pull them down!

So looks like this one just sailed through city planning. "Mitigation" means taking pictures.
