299? really? For a Neutra? San Bernardino isn't that far out is it? What, an hour to downtown?

Maybe not a house to commute from but you can make the drive into LA in about an hour when it's not rush hour. Seems like someone in LA could snatch this up as a fab getaway.

Amazing in this day and age a great looking Neutra can still be listed as a "contractor's dream."

I think the "contractor's dream" is about the workshop areas and the space to park construction equipment.

I want to buy this house, but I need someone to buy mine. I also would want to see the lot lines. is the flat part on the hill above included, or is that going to be a mcmansion?

the interior isn't too bad. the cabinets look good. restore the counter tops in the kitchen and bath. replace the flooring.

I would love to design a new landscape too. I wonder if the Neutra archive has a landscape plan. just a lone photo and floorplan in Works. the floor plan is awesome.

Is the guest house/out building a neutra design?

so, who wants to buy my Cliff May in Oregon, $350K cash. :)

there seems to be a discrepancy in the landscape. when using the Bing birds-eye view of the property, there is a lot more tree and the out building/garage has an overhang. yet when viewing the realtor images and using google satellite, it obvious the garage is different and the area where many of the trees were has been dozed. perhaps these were lost in the fires last year?

Also, any record of the guest house? was this a Richard or Dion design?

The property is astride the San Andreas Earthquake Fault. Take a look
at the address in google maps in satellite mode it can be plainly seen.

This is actually in a pretty nice part of San Bernardino, up near Waterman Canyon, it must of nearly been burned down in the fires in 2003, lots of that part of town were hit. A commute from here to LA would be about 2 hours each way. I used to do Highland to West Covina in about 1 hour and a half. Nice thing now is the 210 goes all the way through so in a stretch you could say this is a Foothill property. A post and beam wood frame house would probably do pretty good in an Earthquake, watch out for the plate glass though. San Manuel Casino is minutes away from here, and so is Arrowhead, so while San Berdo itself is no weekend town you could arguably get somewhere entertaining for dinner after a day of Neutralizing around the pool.
