Here are some talking points to use as a guide in writing a comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the proposed project at the Holiday Bowl. The draft EIR circulation period closes on Wednesday October 9, at 5:00 p.m. All public comments must be received by the City of Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency by Wednesday October 9, at 5:00 p.m. or they will not be included in the Final EIR!ALSO! There is a public meeting this Thursday September 19, 2002 at 8:00 A.M. at the CRA offices at 354 South Spring Street in downtown Los Angeles.
We need to show support there. We need to show the CRA board that the community and the City at large does care about the Holiday Bowl and wants to see an alternative development that incorporates the preservation, sensitive rehabilitation and continued use of the Holiday Bowl! If you or anyone you know may be able to attend the meeting please call me at 323-356-9454. Or just show up: 354 S. Spring St. 4th floor board room. in Downtown Los Angeles. There are various parking lots right there and within two blocks that should be reasonable. Even if you can't make it right at 8:00 come anyway as there are other items on the agenda and this may not be heard until 8:30 am or even later. (you never know).
The complete EIR is available as a download PDF file at the CRA web site. (it is approx. 150 pages, so it could be a bit large).
