I was driving down Beverly Blvd. near Hancock Park this weekend and was very dismayed to see that my favorite modern house in the area was demolished!

This house and landscaping was wonderful and pristine. It was right on Beverly near Highland. Anyone know what happened?

I'm devastated.

Is it either of the following: a white house with a 3-car garage that faces Beverly and front door that faces West or a house with white fencing, bright green trim and cacti?

The street address is 180 N. McCadden. It was the white house with the 3 car garage on Beverly.

It sold I think for $880,000 a few months ago. It had been for sale off and on over the past 2-3 years. It was in good condition. I fell in love with it but couldn't afford it. The only thing worse than not getting a house you love is having someone else buy it and then tear it down!

I'm shocked and from a financial standpoint, it doesn't seem to make any sense. Since the lot is on Beverly, it's not a prime lot.

Thanks. I've often admired that house while using Beverly to get across town. What a shame and a shock! No doubt a McMansion will soon appear in its place.
